![]() Here are the Stats of the CR 15 Mummy Lord : Īlso kinda hilarious to suddenly have a Dungeon Side quest sprout out in the backyard of some farm where you bought a bag of beans. The pyramid is treated as the mummy lord's lair, and its sarcophagus contains treasure of the DM's choice. Inside is a sarcophagus containing a mummy lord. A pyramid with a 60-foot-square base bursts upward. On a failed save, the creature takes 10d6 force damage from an internal magical explosion. On a successful save, a creature permanently increases its lowest ability score by 1, randomly choosing among equally low scores. Any creature that eats an egg must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw. The monster remains for 1 minute, then disappears in a puff of bright pink smoke. Whenever a toad is touched, it transforms into a Large or smaller monster of the DM's choice. 1d4 + 8 bright pink toads crawl forth. On an even roll, the eater gains 5d6 temporary hit points for 1 hour. On an odd roll, the eater must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or take 5d6 poison damage and become poisoned for 1 hour. If a creature eats a toadstool, roll any die. The thing with this is that most of it's effects are negative, including it's "secret one" that happens when you just dump the beans out and they explode into a Mini-Fireball causing 5d4 Fire Damage. This is a Rare Wondrous item, so it's not too crazy to actually come across one of these down the line around Tier 2 rewards. However, one of the more Low key Magic items you can toss at your players is the Bag of Beans. So, we all know of the Deck of Many things, and certain other Magical items that can add a sharp left turn to any adventure.
